Invisalign Aligners Kinsale, Cork
The ultimate orthodontic option treatment without the need for brackets. Invisalign uses specially designed removable clear aligner trays to gradually ‘push’ teeth into the desired place.
The success of this type of orthodontic treatment relies heavily on the patient’s diligence for wearing their appliances to progress through each stage of treatment.
Retainers and Orthodontic Appliances
Your orthodontic treatment may require single or two phase treatment planning.
Your orthodontic treatment may require single or two phase treatment planning. Removable and functional orthodontic appliances such as Twin Blocks, Expanders, Bite Planes, Splints or thumb sucking appliances may be required during treatment to prepare and control facial development to ensure adequate space for tooth placement and development.
Each appliance functions differently to achieve the right dental conditions for orthodontic treatment to begin or continue. Your specialist orthodontist will work closely with your treatment planning to provide the most successful orthodontic outcome. All orthodontic treatment, when completed, requires retainers to be worn indefinitely.
Kinsale Dental include this in your orthodontic treatment and you will have the opportunity to discuss the benefits of a permanently fixed retainer or a removable retainer with your specialist orthodontist during your treatment.

SPECIALIST Orthodontics
BDentSc UDubl - IDC No: 12108I am the specialist orthodontist with the Kinsale Dental team. I pursued my passion for dentistry and studied in Dublin initially, graduating in 2008. I have always had a great passion for orthodontic treatment and enjoy working with patients of all ages, to achieve their best possible smile that not only looks great, but also allows their teeth to function properly so the patient can eat, smile and laugh with confidence.
My dental experience includes working in both the UK and in Ireland before specialising in orthodontics in 2012. I am continuing to follow my passion for orthodontics and am currently undertaking my masters in teaching as I lecture, part time, in the Cork University Dental School and Hospital to share my experience with others.
